University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio, Vintage Downloadable Image

Dating from 1819, the University of Cincinnati has a long and distinguished tradition. As the second largest university in Ohio, it offers dozens of undergraduate and graduate programs.

This image is based on an circa 1904 image of the University.

This image is from the Library of Congress. As you may know, the Library has thousands of public domain photographs available for use. However, many require photo editing skills to “clean up” and produce printable images.

I’ve been doing just that for several years as a way of further developing my photo editing skills. The selection of images in this collection are ones that have caught my attention and the nominal charge is to help recoup some of the cost of the computer equipment along the way.

Once you have downloaded it, you are free to use it with any personal projects as many times as you wish. Please, however, do not resell it or use it in a commercial setting without prior permission. As a derivative work, it is copyright protected, so please respect my copyright.

Photos are JPG format and are sized 2400 by 3000 pixels (or 3000 x 2400 horizontal) which will produce an 8x10 inch print at 300 dpi. You’ll need some type of imaging software such as Photoshop, iPhoto, etc. to print.

I’m not really set-up to provide technical support for your software, so please be sure you understand how it works before buying the image.
