I've been playing with digital art as a combination of expressionism with bold colors. Wikipedia explains expressionism as a modernist movement, originating in Northern Europe around the beginning of the 20th century. Its typical trait is to present the world solely from a subjective perspective, distorting it radically for emotional effect in order to evoke moods or ideas.

This image has a special meaning. Tanya and I had been dating, although not very long, when I asked her to go to Maine with me. I had a speaking engagement at Sugarloaf Resort and thought we could make a brief holiday of the trip.

The schedule was tight, and we did not get to spend as much time wandering through Portland as we would have liked. Nonetheless, it was a great trip with excellent seafood and glorious fall days.

After we got back, I asked Tanya to marry me and we’ve been together ever since.

Prints 11x14 and larger may be drop-shipped directly from FinerWorks, a company specializing in fine art and high quality photographic printing.

Prints typically have a 1-inch additional white border around the image to allow for a better fit in pre-cut mats. If you do not want a border, please specify in the buyer's comments and the image will be printed borderless.

The watermark and frame do not appear in the final print.
